Growing up as the son of a church organist and choir director, I was introduced to music early. I started playing sax in 1973 after realizing I was a poor flute player. Most of my experience is in Big Band Jazz, performing with the Richard Clark Big Band for 14 years and the Riptide Big Band for 10, along with various church orchestras and community bands. A passion for Blues and Soul music led me to join Soul Cats, where I’ve been able to explore my Soul side—and playing the cowbell has been the highlight of my musical journey!
